WHO WE ARE
Compassionate positive training
I am an R+, force-free trainer who believes you do not need to hurt dogs to train them.
After working with timid and fearful dogs for over 10 years, I became passionate about preventing the fear and aggression in an early puppyhood.
I am very experienced with dog-to-dog introduction and supervised dog play. Every boarding and day care training includes basic obedience training, impulse control and supervised socializing sessions with other friendly dogs. I only use aversive free training and would not use any methods or gear that hurts dogs.
I am a certified in Training and Counseling by the Academy for Dog Trainers, one of the best schools in the country.
Prior to Academy CTC education, I have been fostering and training dogs at the Front Street animal shelter since 2016 and have been the last resort foster for very timid dogs.

Our dogs were immediately comfortable with her and she sent us tons of pictures letting us know our dogs were having the best time ever! She worked on loose-leash walking with our dogs as well as stopping them from jumping up. Anna gave us really clear instructions for how to work with our dogs and it made a huge difference! Both of our dogs are now excellent on the leash and no longer jump up on us (and they've been great about not jumping on strangers, too!). We cannot recommend Anna enough! Thank you so much!

Our dog Maya has been going to Anna's once a week for daycare for about a month now and it has been a great experience. Maya did not get many opportunities to socialize with other dogs as a puppy and we wanted a safe and smaller environment where she could get interaction with other dogs. Anna is very knowledgeable and professional. She was able to gauge where Maya was at socialization wise and devise clever ways to slowly work Maya up from being avoidant/skittish with other dogs to actively playing with them and having a great time.
